Corrpro's Alcoke Vent Pipe
Due to the reaction of naturally occurring salt present in the soil with high current output deepwells, chlorine gases are produced and can cause significant damage to the coating of the cable terminating the anodes. This chemical attack can cause a cable break failure and result in the complete failure of the anode bed. With the use of Corrpo’s Alcoke vent pipe, the harmful gasses travel through the pipe instead and are dissipated into the atmosphere.
While mainly used for protection of the deepwell allowing harmful gases to escape, Corrpro’s Alcoke vent pipe also acts as a transportation method for water for the ground bed. In instances where the ground bed may have a lack of electrolytes present, water can be pumped into the vent pipe, allowing for the ground bed to be moistened, effectively changing the immediate circuit resistance of the anode to the soil.
