Petrowrap LT Petrolatum Tape

Options:

Petrowrap LT tape is a low temperature petrolatum tape ideal for long term corrosion protections on underground steel pipeline surfaces. The tape is composed of a non-woven stitch bonded synthetic fabric, fully impregnated with a neutral compound petroleum based compound and inert fillers. Petrowrap LT tape is stocked and available in 2”, 4” and 6” by 33’ sizes.

Application

The Petrowrap LT tape can be applied directly onto cold and wet surfaces. Before applying, a thick coating of Petrowrap Paste should be applied as a surface primer. When installing on irregular surfaces, such as valves or flanges, an application of Petrowrap Mastic may be required. Depending on conditions, the LT tape should be installed with either a 1” overlap or a 55% overlap of the tapes width.
