Dairyland SSD

Dairyland SSD

When the concern arises that an induced AC current is on your structure, Dairyland Solid State Decouplers (SSD) are used as part of a long-term solution to help mitigate the AC current, while also decoupling DC currents, allowing you to optimize the performance of your cathodic protection system. The SSD isolates the cathodic protection system from an AC grounding system that is installed to prevent over voltage events. In the event an AC fault or lightning strike occurs, the SSD would switch to a completely shorted mode, providing protection to workers on the structure. Dairyland SSD’s are built and designed using new production and packaging techniques, offering a certified, fail-safe solution at lower costs than other methods.
